Is Winter Academy different from Summer Academy?

Yes. Summer Academy is a six-week programme built to get ahead of the next academic year. Winter Academy is a two-week diagnostic-led intensive (4 live classes, Mondays and Wednesdays) that repairs first-term weaknesses and prepares students for mocks.

Does my child need to be struggling to join?

No. High-performing students use Winter Academy to sharpen exam technique, deepen evaluation and push towards the top grades.

What exam boards are covered?

Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CIE/CAIE and IB where relevant. Teaching focuses on the shared core specification and we flag board-specific differences as we go.

Are lessons recorded?

Yes. Every live session is recorded and shared with your cohort within 24 hours.

How large are the classes?

Winter cohorts are capped at 10 students so every learner receives individual feedback.

Do students receive homework?

Yes — short, focused exam-style practice between sessions, typically 30–45 minutes.

How does the Winter Diagnostic work?

Before the first class each student completes a short online diagnostic covering knowledge, exam skills and priority areas. Dr Daisy reviews the cohort results and adapts teaching to the students attending.

Are international students welcome?

Yes. Sessions run online on UK time and all recordings are available for students in other time zones.

Do parents receive progress updates?

Yes. Parents receive the schedule, a mid-programme note and the end-of-programme January Action Plan.

Can students join if they do not have January mocks?

Absolutely. The programme is built around securing knowledge and exam skills, which benefits every student regardless of mock timings.

Is Winter Academy the same as 1-to-1 tuition?

No. It is small-group teaching capped at 10 students. Many families combine it with occasional 1-to-1 sessions for targeted support.

What happens after I reserve a place?

You join the priority list and receive a confirmation email. When Winter places are released you will be first to receive the booking link and diagnostic.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund is available within 7 days of enrolment, provided no more than one live session has taken place.
